This may be the only place to get a custom tie tac or lapel pin with a photo of your favorite Abyssinian cat color displayed on it. Gemstones are mountain jade which act as a background to the photo and glows up through it. Sometimes in certain light tiny sparkles can be seen. Choose Ruddy Abyssinian, Fawn Abyssinian or Sorrel Abyssinian. These are never pulled from a shelf but made just for you when you order and are considered custom made. Cabochon measures 1/2 inch wide by 3/4 inch high (13mm x 18mm). Photo will be aprx. 1/2" around. Pin tac has a half inch shaft that fits into a silver or gold plated clutch. Choose either gold or silver plated metal. Three Aby cat pictures are available - your choice. Matching Aby earrings, pendants and brooches are available. Facts about Abyssinian Cats • The Abyssinian cat's coat is not as short as you might think but is still easy maintenance. An occasional combing is all that is needed. • Some people think the original Abyssinian is a direct descendant from Egyptian cats which have a strong resemblance to the cats depicted in the artwork and hieroglyphs of the ancient Egyptian people. It is believed that the Abyssinian dates back to the days of the Pharaohs in ancient Egypt where they held court and were beloved enough to be mummified. • The Aby had made it's way to England by the 1800's and by the early 1900's to the US. |
