The type of gemstone used as a surface for the bird photo jewelry is as described on the individual listing. The piece of bird jewelry you receive will be handcrafted just for you never pulled from a shelf. All gemstones are hand cut and as with all natural gemstones no two are ever exactly the same. Tiny veins and flecks that may appear make each stone unique. Sizes are approximate as some cuts may differ by a millimeter or two.
The bird images are digitally reproduced as transparencies. White areas are see-through to the stone's surface color. Multi glaze
process produces a water resistant piece. The final effect IS NOT like a paper decoupage picture
with layers of lacquer. The final effect IS A CABOCHON WITH AN IMAGE THAT BECOMES PART OF THE GEMSTONE.
