What is your favorite little birdie pet? The adorable Budgie parakeet? The exotic Macaw parrot? Maybe a Cockatiel beauty! What makes these bird pendants different from anything you'll find is the fact that they feature authentic photographs of the birds. Images are turned transparent and placed over a white Dolomite gemstone oval. You may see tiny sparkles twinkle up through it in certain light. The gemstone is a flat bead with a built-in bail at the top. You may choose between gold plate and silver plated metals on either a medium or large stone. You decide if you want cable chain or a rubber cord, the length and even the color. If you choose the rope it will be black unless you pick an alternate color provided. Your pendant is made just for you after you order with your specifications. This means you are getting a custom piece, so please use care when selecting the size. The stone sizes are as follows:

Large pendant gemstone measures 1 1/2" high by 1 1/8" wide (38mmX29mm).
Medium pendant gemstone measures 1 1/4" high by 1" wide(33mmX24mm).

Select chain size and type.
- 18" or 24" cable chain of plated steel (on right in picture)
- 18 " or 20" rope (synthetic rubber) with accent beads (left in picture).

Both rope and chain have a quality lobster claw fastener with the plated metal of your choice.

• Cockatiels are very sociable birds and will get depressed if they are left alone for long periods of time. They may bang their heads against cages, refuse to eat, or become irritable and violent around owners. That’s why it’s advisable for you to get a pair of cockatiels if you know you’ll be out of the house for most of the day.

• Parrots learn to imitate speech and other sounds readily while some are able to open complicated cage locks. They appear to enjoy being petted and being the object of attention. Many parrots live for 50 years in captivity while some manage to reach the ripe old age of 80. I've heard it suggested that if you have a parrot to make arrangements in your will. It may outlive you.

• Parakeets have a wide range of chirps to communicate with each other. A happy parakeet will make a “warbling”, purr-like sound, usually when they grooming themselves or crooning themselves to sleep. If you play music, they may join the chorus with a joyful “fweeping” sound. When they are excited, they will shout “Ack! Ack!” and jump up and down. (This can deteriorate to an “Ark! Ark!” when they are agitated.) Very high-pitched chirps are usually a sign of distress or fear.
