A photo of graceful pink Flamingos, forming a heart with their graceful necks, is featured on this pendant with a frame that echoes the form of their bodies. The flamingo picture cameostone is treated with an mother-of-pearl / opal glaze that shines up through the translucent image. Tip the cream colored stone in the light for a discreet pinkish opal effect. The antiqued gold looped pendant frame holds a 30mm X 40mm cabochon and measures 2 1/2" from bottom tip to top (excluding bail) and is 1 1/2" wide. Included are bail and cable necklace chain with lobster claw fastener. Choose length of either 18" or 24". Metals in frame and chain are gold plated brass. This pendant makes a lovely flamingo collectible for flamingo enthusiasts.

Facts about Flamingos |
• All flamingos are found in tropical and subtropical areas. • A variety of habitats are used by flamingos: mangrove swamps, tidal flats, and sandy islands in the intertidal zone. • Flamingos usually do not migrate. But if the climate or water levels in their breeding areas change, flamingo colonies are not always permanent. • When flamingos migrate, they do so mainly at night. They can travel approximately 373 miles in one night at about 31-37 mph. |
