Three petite butterfly photos on three diamond shaped snow quartz gemstones dangle from this kilt pin. If you're not familiar with a kilt pin it was originally designed to pin a kilt (or wrap skirt) shut. Now this pin has risen to a whole new level with dangling crystals and stones and can be worn across the collar, shirt pocket, hat band, purse strap . . . let your imagination set the limits.

This butterfly pin has hand-cut Snow Quartz gemstones best described like shapes of frozen ice with swirls ranging from opaque to translucent and like all gem stones no two are ever exactly the same. A tiny vein or fleck in the quartz is natural. Three butterfly images are transferred onto the snow quartz gemstone beads (front and back). Due to the opacity of the stone an almost stained glass effect occurs. Below each stone is a matching Czech crystal. The photographs feature a blue winged butterfly, everyone's favorite - the monarch butterfly, and a black white pink butterfly.

The gem stones are approximately 18mm (3/4") across. Photo will be aprx. 5/8" around. The pin is gold or silver plated brass with 3 loops and is 3 1/4 inches wide.
