The hand-cut Snow Quartz gemstones are like shapes of frozen ice with swirls ranging from opaque to translucent and like all gem stones no two are ever exactly the same. A tiny vein or fleck in the quartz is natural. The butterfly image is transferred onto the snow quartz gemstone bead. Due to the opacity of the stone an almost stained glass effect occurs. You select a photo of spread wings or profile (which is flipped to make right and left earrings).

The gem stones range from 15mm to 20mm across (about the size of a dime). Photo will be aprx. 5/8" around. In the picture to your left, starting at the top left shapes are as follows: Round, Oval, Tear-drop, Diamond.

Photos are on both sides of the stones. You also choose the metal color: surgical steel fishhook, silver or gold plated leverback pierced or clip (copper on fishhook only).
