The surface of the Cameostone has an opal Mother-of-Pearl look for gold metals and an opal ivory look for silver metals. The penguin images are digitally reproduced as transparencies. White areas are see-through to the stone's surface color. Multi glaze process produces a dichro effect, where colors turn metallic when the light direction changes.
