• Home for Bengal Tigers is India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Burma. It has often been refered to as the Royal tiger. Now most Sumatran tigers live in sanctuaries but the normal habitats for these cats are dense forest, mangrove swamps, rocky terrains and lush grassland. Bengal Tigers are the most numerous in population than any other Tiger subspecies.
• Tigers are able to eat up to 40 pounds at a time and then go without eating for days. Some Tigers in the wild become man-eaters, but it happens to be very rare.
• The roar of a tiger can be heard up to a mile away.
